Transparent is actively supporting a Chelmsford-based client in the recruitment of an Assistant Management Accountant to join their friendly and forward-thinking finance team.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, your role would include:

- Supporting the Finance Manager is all aspects of management accounts

- Completing month end journals and ensuring that balance sheet reconciliations are completed for review

- Fixed asset accounting and prepayments, as well as VAT reconciliations

- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts packs

- Taking the monthly internal audit process to review stage

- Assisting with company projects

- Working closely with the finance department to suggest process improvements

- Ad hoc financial analysis

The Person:

- AAT Qualified or Finalist level who wants to continue with their studies in the future

- A driven and ambitious individual who wants to step up into a Management Accountant or Finance Manager position in the longer term

- Previous relevant accounts experience in a similar role

- A team player

- Strong MS Excel skills
