We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant for a manufacturing company based in the Wombourne area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of our expanding family-run business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the full-time Accountant in managing accounts for our group of companies, comprising 4 subsidiary brands and 2 start-up ventures.
  • Handle various accounting tasks including invoice processing, credit control, supplier management, and financial reconciliation.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance by meticulously maintaining records and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to meet deadlines and achieve departmental goals.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required to support the smooth operation of the finance department.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting, or accounts assistant, with proficiency in Sage 50.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
